The Coalition for Canadian Digital Heritage (CCDH) is the new name and identity of the former National Heritage Digitization Strategy (NHDS).
The CCDH is a cross-sectoral coalition of memory organizations committed to expanding digital access to Canada’s cultural heritage. In September 2020, CRKN took on the role of Secretariat, and provides governance, administrative, and communications support to the CCDH Executive and Advisory Committees, working closely with the committees to advance the CCDH’s strategic goals. Executive Director Clare Appavoo sits on the CCDH Executive Committee.
The CCDH transitioned its name in 2022 following a comprehensive strategic planning process to refine the mission and vision for the NHDS and to develop community-driven priorities. After extensive community engagement and validation, the NHDS reunited as the Coalition for Canadian Digital Heritage with a new Strategic Framework.
