These include negotiating article processing charge (APC) discounts, read and publish agreements, and funding partnerships that actively support open access infrastructure and publishing.

Authors
Authors affiliated with an institution participating in the license agreement are eligible to receive a 250 USD discount on the article processing charge (APC) for all ACS hybrid journals. The APC discount is applied upon acceptance of manuscript. Authors must indicate their institutional affiliation upon submitting of their manuscript in order to benefit from the discount.

The following Gold OA journals are not eligible for the 25% discount: Arctic Science, Drone Systems and Applications, and FACETS. Authors must indicate their institutional affiliation upon submitting of their manuscript in order to benefit from the discount.

Authors
CRKN-affiliated authors publishing in Elsevier’s Gold Open Access journals can benefit from a 20% discount on their APCs in 2024, 15% in 2025 and 2026, and 10% in 2027.
Authors must indicate their institutional affiliation upon submitting their manuscript in order to benefit from the discount. Please review the author workflow.

Authors
As of January 1, 2021, authors affiliated with an institution participating in the CRKN agreement will be able to publish an unlimited number of their articles as open access in SAGE Choice hybrid journals for the duration of the agreement (2021-2023). No article processing charges (APC) fees will be levied for open access publication in eligible hybrid journals. Authors are also eligible to receive a 40% discount on the APC for most gold open access journals.

Authors
Authors affiliated with an institution participating in the CRKN agreement are eligible to receive a 25% discount on the article processing charge (APC) in T&F Open Select hybrid journals (list available below in Related Documents).
Authors should select the Open Access Publishing option when submitting an article. When the APC quote is generated, authors should select their affiliated institution from the drop-down menu. The APC discount will be automatically applied. Authors can select a Creative Commons license once they have accepted the APC quote. Visit Taylor & Francis' website for further details on the process.
Libraries
There is no intervention (or validation) required by Libraries for this agreement. Once an eligible article is identified via the author's affiliation, the discount will automatically be applied before the author is invoiced.
