CRKN is pleased to provide this quarterly financial update for September 2019.
2019-20 AUDIT SERVICES RFP UPDATE
At their September 4, 2019 meeting, the Finance & Audit Committee received and reviewed proposals from six firms for the 2019-2020 CRKN audit. The RFP describes the engagement as for a maximum five-year term, renewable each year after 2019-2020 at CRKN’s sole option. The Board of Directors accepted the committee’s recommendation and reasoning at their September 11th meeting and will be proposing that firm for approval at the October 17th Meeting of the Members.
HERITAGE CONTENT ACCESS AND PRESERVATION FUND
CRKN will invoice its members for the HCAP fund in November 2019 for the 2020 calendar year, the second year of a three-year commitment agreed to by the membership at the 2017 AGM. The fund includes amounts from CRKN members who did not previously subscribe to the Canadiana collections, along with the redirection of the former Canadiana collection licensing fees and Canadiana membership fees for members who did subscribe.
LICENSE INVOICING SCHEDULE
CRKN staff continue to maintain and update the license invoicing schedule for the 2020 year. The updated invoicing schedule is accessible on the CRKN website (no login required).
THE FINE PRINT
It is important for CRKN to maintain member contact information, including the email addresses of invoicing contacts. Should you have any contact changes at your institutions, please send the updated information to CRKN Finance (finance@crkn.ca).
CRKN staff monitor receivables closely, as the organization relies on member payment to meet the organization’s ongoing vendor commitments. CRKN continues to send statements at the end of each month to all members with invoices outstanding, and thanks members for their ongoing cooperation in processing CRKN invoices on an expeditious basis.
