The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) is inviting proposals for a consultant with expertise in heritage digitization and preservation strategy, services, and pricing. The deadline to submit a proposal has been extended to Friday, January 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. ET.
CRKN has a full-service digitization program and provides digitization of content to be added to the Canadiana collections (Canadiana and Héritage), as well as providing digitization services to members and stakeholders for a fee. The Canadiana collections are made accessible through the access and preservation platform, and CRKN is a certified Trustworthy Digital Repository. CRKN also provides hosting and preservation services to members and stakeholders for a fee.
CRKN is looking to engage an experienced and innovative Digitization and Preservation Market Assessment Consultant with expertise in:
- Innovative and engaging business planning in complex and changing environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the heritage landscape, including digitization and preservation of heritage content.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector with priority given to consultants familiar with member-driven organizations.
- An in-depth understanding of the academic library environment, as well as the GLAM (gallery, library, archive, and museum) environment.
