Alexandra Houde has joined the CRKN team as Senior Content & Licensing Officer from February 13 through December 22, 2017. Alexandra will support the CRKN licensing program by serving as staff lead on a number of license negotiations, leading and supporting committee and task groups as appropriate and ensuring members are adequately supported in the delivery of content programs.
Alexandra joins CRKN on a secondment from her position at the Université de Montréal, where she has worked for 13 years in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as an electronic resources librarian. Under the leadership of Stephanie Gagnon and Professor Vincent Larivière, she supported the Journal Usage study at Université de Montréal, an experience that will be particularly beneficial to CRKN this year. Her experience in transitioning big deals and her ability to communicate information succinctly in both French and English will be of tremendous benefit to CRKN members, as will her experience in working at a member institution.
She has a Master's Degree in Library and Information Sciences (2003), and an Honours Baccalaureate in Linguistics (1997), both from the Université de Montréal.
