CRKN and the ORCID-CA Consortium are pleased to announce that CIFAR has joined ORCID-CA as its 36th member.
CIFAR is a Canadian-based global research organization that brings together leading researchers from around the world in a supportive interdisciplinary environment. Convening research programs on four key areas of scientific research – Life & Health, Individuals & Society, Information & Matter, and Earth & Space – CIFAR was also appointed in 2017 by the Government of Canada to lead the Pan-Canadian Artificial Intelligence Strategy, the world's first national AI strategy.
For CIFAR, joining ORCID-CA provides access to a global community of like-minded people working to integrate ORCID into their data systems. ORCID membership will provide CIFAR with the ability to better ensure that they have correct and up-to-date data about their teams of researchers, all of whom have a primary affiliation with other research universities and institutes.
CIFAR joins institutions such as the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, the National Research Council, the University Health Network, and universities across the country in ORCID-CA membership.
