University of Toronto Press (UTP), C40, and LYRASIS will present the ways through which they are working together to advance the dissemination of the Journal of City Climate Policy and Economy using the Subscribe to Open model.
This session will present a collaborative approach to knowledge dissemination and translation. University of Toronto Press (UTP), C40, and LYRASIS will present the ways through which they are working together to advance the dissemination of the Journal of City Climate Policy and Economy using the Subscribe to Open model. As a partnership between UTP and C40, the journal serves as a platform for scholarly research that empowers mayors and policymakers with research, analysis, and concrete actions to drive purposeful action in the climate agenda. Subscribe to Open (S2O) is an equitable, innovative and pragmatic model that works within the existing subscription procurement infrastructure to achieve open access in journals. The model does not rely on article processing charges (APCs), thereby striving to achieve equity in access to publishing for all authors, regardless of research funding available. LYRASIS is partnering with UTP to help grow a funding community to sustain this important new journal.
