Christopher recently graduated from the University Of Guelph-Humber with a Bachelor Of Applied Science Degree in Psychology in addition to a Diploma in General Arts and Science and Area Of Emphasis Certificate in Research Skills And Analysis from the Humber College Institute Of Technology. In addition, he holds a Diploma in Social Service Work from Seneca College. Christopher’s research focuses on improving accessibility of Scientific content for the blind through cross-sensory methods. In addition to his research and studies, Christopher is the Vice President of the Toronto Visionaries Chapter of the Canadian Council Of The Blind.

The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) and its members are critical partners in the work of ensuring access to the world’s knowledge for a diversity of students and faculty with print disabilities. The 2016 CRKN model license was a step in the right direction. However, unless principles of accessibility are intentionally centred at all stages of CRKN’s activities - from procurement of academic journal subscriptions and eBooks, to negotiation with vendors, and the digitization of existing and often historic print resources - CRKN members may actually create and sustain accessibility barriers for disabled readers.
