Ian Milligan is a professor of history at the University of Waterloo, where he is also Associate Vice-President, Research Oversight and Analysis. Milligan explores the impact of digital sources on historical practices, and is the author of three books: The Transformation of Historical Research in the Digital Age (2022), History in the Age of Abundance (2019), and Rebel Youth (2014). He is also principal investigator of the Archives Unleashed Project, a joint project with the Internet Archive that is developing its next-generation analytics service.

Learn about Canadiana, discuss the potential to transform it into community open infrastructure ready for collaborative collection development, hear from researchers about their needs, and help decide the path forward for CRKN’s digital cultural and heritage collections.
