Project Assistant and PhD Candidate in Cultural Anthropology

Murielle Cornut studied Cultural Anthropology (MA) and Art History (MA) at the University of Basel. She is now a Project Assistant and PhD Candidate at the Institute for Cultural Anthropology and European Ethnology, University of Basel. Within the Participatory Knowledge Practices in Analogue and Digital Image Archives (PIA) research project, she analyses the photo albums of the Kreis Family collection with a focus on questions of social practices of photography, sensation and materiality.
