Ry Moran is Canada’s inaugural Associate University Librarian – Reconciliation (AULR) at the University of Victoria. Ry is a proud member of the Red River Métis and came to this position from the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation hosted by the University of Manitoba. On the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s behalf, he facilitated the gathering of nearly 7,000 video/audio-recorded statements of former residential school students and millions of pages of archival records. Ry has recently added “Podcast Host” to his long list of accomplishments. The UVic Libraries’ podcast Ry hosts, and creates music for, will be launching in September 2022.
