We have reached a stage of relative maturity across much of the digital research infrastructure that provides support to the HSS research lifecycle in Canada. However, that infrastructure is still tenuously financed and exists as relatively uncoordinated, independent programs. With the Digital Research Alliance of Canada currently reviewing its 2025-2030 mandate to support digital research infrastructure in Canada, now is the time to consider how we might align these separate pieces together as a coherent and coordinated, and most importantly sustainable, national research infrastructure program. In this session, each panelist will provide a brief overview of their organization’s existing infrastructure and will discuss what the future looks like for them, followed by a moderated discussion on how Canada’s critical HSS infrastructures can work together to improve collective interoperability and sustainability.
