Canadiana and Infrastructure for the Future

The past year has been an incredibly exciting one for Canadiana, with much groundwork laid to grow content held within the collections and the infrastructure supporting it. This session will provide an overview of four key activities that will inform development of the collections and infrastructure through to 2029:
- An update on the inaugural call for Canadiana collection development projects
- The Canadiana development roadmap
- A preview of an HSS digital research infrastructure landscape analysis and thinking toward future directions, undertaken jointly by CRKN and Érudit
- An update on CRKN’s Open Science Infrastructure for Canad(ian)a: Digital Collections of the Future (DCOF) CFI application
This session will provide ample information to furnish an exciting member discussion on the future of the Canadiana collections and infrastructure, and on CRKN’s place within Canada’s national digital research infrastructure environment.
