Loubna Ghaouti
Ms. Ghaouti is Directrice, Bibliothèque de l’Université Laval since 2012. She has worked in the university library sector for the last twenty years, primarily in library management. Her professional career has allowed her to develop sector expertise in support of research and teaching as well as a strategic understanding of the challenges of open science and the impact of dissemination and management of research data. Above all, she has developed a keen understanding of major governance issues in the academic sector, particularly for university libraries. Her career at Université Laval began in 2001, shortly after she received her Master’s in Information Sciences from the Université de Montréal, and she has since occupied many roles within the library. In addition to her work as Directrice, Bibliothèque de l’Université Laval, Ms. Ghaouti is also Vice-President of the Érudit consortium and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL), for Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ), and for the Fédération des milieux documentaires (FMD).
