The Content Strategy Committee met via teleconference on January 24, 2018. The CSC discussed license renewals and various other projects.
Attendees: Todd Mundle, Gabrielle Prefontaine, Stéphanie Gagnon, Tanja Harrison, Pamela Jacobs, Denise Koufogiannakis, Jennifer Richard, Harriet Rykse, Sandy Stift, Chantal St-Louis and Weijing Yuan.
Management Report
A written management report was shared with the committee and included an update on recent developments at CRKN. Notable items included an update on the York Copyright Appeal, as well as information about Consortia Collaborating on a Platform for Library Usage Statistics (CC-Plus). An update on the NHDS Committee and CNDHI was also provided.
Canadiana Update
The committee was updated on progress related to the CRKN-Canadiana combination.
2018 License Renewals
An overview of upcoming license renewals for 2018 was shared with the committee. The renewals were categorized based on anticipated level of complexity. The Sub-Group Assignments will be updated to remove Gale Times Digital Archive and to possibly add IEEE. Member Teleconferences have been tentatively scheduled for six Phase I licenses.

Serials Management Sub-Committee (SMSC)
An overview of the current work of the SMSC on KBART lists and other tools for managing titles was provided.
Trusted Digital Repository Task Group (TDRTG)
An update on upcoming webinars related to the work of the TDRTG was provided.
License Transition Task Group (LTTG)
The report was discussed by the CSC and accepted. The report will be distributed to members in order to solicit feedback related to the report’s recommendations.
Journal Usage Project
The JUP was discussed, including a summary of the first meeting of the CSC sub-group analyzing the data for the purpose of upcoming renewals.
Journal Value Analytics
The results of the JVA focus group were shared with the CSC.
Meeting recap and next meeting
The next meeting of the CSC will take place on March 9 in person in Vancouver. T. Mundle thanked S. Gagnon for her contributions on behalf of the committee as she has accepted a new position and will no longer represent BCI on the CSC.
