The Content Strategy Committee met in-person on June 13, 2018. The CSC discussed the 2018 license renewals, committee updates, and AGM planning.

Management Report
A written management report was shared with the committee. Highlights included an update on ORCID-CA, CARL Spring meeting, membership fees, and team professional workshop.
Canadiana & Preservation and Access Committee Update
An update was given on the goals of the PAC and the planning for the committee’s first meeting.
SCOAP³ – Update
An update on SCOAP³ was shared with the committee including renewal options and negotiation information.
CRKN Banding System 2018
An update on the changes to membership banding and its implications were given to the committee.
Trusted Digital Repository Task Group – Update
An overview of the group’s last meeting was given, including an update on the recommendations that would be included in the final report.
Collections Analysis Community of Practice
It was shared that quantitative collection analysis continues to be a priority for members. Staff are therefore looking to increase member engagement in the CoP and formalize the goal, its impact and objectives and a few suggestions were shared with the committee for discussion.
Serials Management Sub-Committee – Update
It was shared that the SMSC re-examined the Canadian OA title list and determined the direction the committee should take in the future.
Journal Value Analytics – Update
It was shared that the Journal Value Analytics (JVA) report template has been finalized and will be distributed later in the month.

CAIRN
The Committee moved unanimously to recommend to the Board of Directors that in order to support CRKN’s value of fairness, that CRKN reject CAIRN’s language-based differential pricing proposal and allow the license to expire on July 31st.
CSC Annual Report
A draft of the CSC Annual Report for fiscal year 2017-2018 was shared with the committee.
AGM 2018 Vancouver
The draft agenda for the 2018 AGM was shared with the committee. It was confirmed that the NHDS would co-host the half-day workshop before the AGM. The committee made suggestions and some changes to the draft agenda.
CSC Self-Assessment
CSC members were asked to complete the self-assessment survey before the end of June.
