The Content Strategy Committee met via teleconference on September 19, 2018. The CSC discussed the 2018 license renewals, gut-check survey results, and the 2018 AGM final agenda.

Management Report
A written management report was shared with the committee. Highlights included the upcoming ORCID-CA forum; on-going collaboration with CARL, Copyright review submission, CC-PLUS, an update on the PAC, an update on current platform development and digitization activities; an update on meetings with stakeholders; strategic planning consultations with members and stakeholders; and current staff recruitment plans.

The results for the CSC Self- Assessment survey were shared with the committee for information
Serials Management Sub-Committee
The committee was updated on the SMSC’s work to create a list of open access titles, and its annual KBART updating process.
AGM – Final Agenda / Licensing Session
The final agenda for the AGM was shared with the committee.
Gut-Check Survey Results
The results from the Gut-Check survey were shared with the committee.
2018 License Renewals
An Update on the license renewals for 2018-2019 was provided. Including information on meetings and negotiations with:
- Elsevier Scopus
- Institute of Physics
- Oxford University Press
- Royal Society of Chemistry
- Clarivate Web of Science/Knowledge
Unfortunately, due to the complicated nature of the aforementioned license renewals, the CSC did not have sufficient time to complete the agenda. Therefore, discussion for the following agenda items was deferred to a follow up meeting to be held as soon as possible.
