Carole Urbain
Carole Urbain is currently Senior Director, Academic Affairs at the McGill University Library. Her career has been marked by numerous projects at the Bibliothèque nationale du Québec, the Université de Montreal, and the McGill University. These include the development of the national collection, the implementation of an Information Commons, the creation of a Numerical and Geospatial Data Centre, the establishment of an Information and Learning Hub (Cyberthèque), and the participation in a shared library services platform project. As a member of the National Heritage Digitization Strategy (NHDS) Steering Committee, she has collaborated on a study to develop best practices for infrastructure to ensure the preservation of digitized material. She is currently the vice-chair of the executive committee of the NHDS. Holding a MLIS from the University of Montreal, C. Urbain has also a master's degree in public administration from the École nationale d'administration publique.
