Rachel Chong
Indigenous Engagement and Subject Liaison Librarian

Rachel Chong is the Indigenous Engagement and Subject Liaison Librarian at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She is of Métis and mixed-European heritage. Rachel has a BA in Communication (2010) from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a First Nations Curriculum Concentration (2013). Growing up in BC, disconnected from Métis culture, it was through her studies at UBC that she became engaged with her heritage and applied for citizenship with of Métis Nation British Columbia. She incredibly humbled to be learning her culture from Métis communities across Canada.
