Call for Proposals
Our conference theme is “Open Knowledges and Sustainable Futures,” and we invite proposals that speak broadly to this theme. We seek to explore how access to knowledge can help build a better future, including the importance of multiple ways of knowing and the role open knowledges can play in supporting sustainable infrastructures, communities, and ecological systems. Through collaboration and innovation, immense work is being done in this space to ensure a sustainable and robust future for Canada’s knowledge ecosystem and society at large. Does your organization have a story to tell about how you are advancing open knowledges in ways that support a sustainable future?
In celebration of connections, we invite abstracts on topics including, but not limited to:
- Open knowledge, open access, and open science
- Equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA) initiatives
- Truth and Reconciliation in library and GLAM practices
- Innovative partnerships in the research and GLAM sectors
- Persistent identifiers
- Community-developed projects and tools
- Accountability standards and practices
- Perspectives on research and scholarship through the lens of open knowledges and sustainable futures
- Increasing accessibility and discoverability of research content and collections
Proposals may take the form of:
- 15-minute talks or presentations
- 30-minute sessions
- 60-minute sessions
- 30-minute guided thematic discussions: guided thematic discussions are sessions that are facilitated by at least one host and that incorporate attendee participation, similar to an extended question and answer period
If you wish to propose a different type of session, please provide additional information in your submission about how your session would unfold.
