Charlie is a PIDs Librarian (Bibliothécaire spécialiste des identifiants uniques pérennes) at Université Laval, Quebec City. She is a member of ORCID-CA and DataCite Canada since 2024, and she has been the Chair of ORCID-CA since 2025. Charlie holds an MA from Concordia University and an MLIS from McGill University, Montreal.

In March 2024, the Université Laval Library was tasked with managing ROR IDs within the institution. Beyond managing the institution’s ROR ID, the Library also supports qualifying research groups in creating their own ROR IDs, enabling them to better assess their publication output. This
