Sarah Vela is a data manager and web developer who has worked across disciplines to make knowledge more accessible to broad audiences. They are trained as a Librarian and Digital Humanist and have created digital tools for research groups, museums, and university administrations across Canada. In their current role, they are the lead developer on the FishSounds website and oversee a team creating a platform for AI detection of harmful algal blooms in satellite imagery.
