Sonia Dhaliwal recently joined the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) Library's Digital Scholarship Unit as the Data & Digital Collections Librarian. She has previously worked as an archivist in both community and academic archives that helped document, preserve, and providing access to records created by Canada's many immigrant communities.

The University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) is embedded in a diverse community that is home to one of the largest Tamil speaking diasporas outside of South Asia. To better reflect this diversity, the UTSC Library has contributed to the development of a Digital Tamil Studies program in an effort to better align with our institutional EDI initiatives and more accurately reflect the UTSC’s community.
